IPE Locomotori 2000
IPE LOCOMOTORI 2000 – IPE Locomotori was founded in the early 1970s, but its history dates back a few decades earlier when Mario Rizzi and Franco Chiavegato, drawing on their extensive experience in the railway sector, had the intuition to enter the private market. This led to the creation of IPE Locomotori. From its early maintenance work on locomotives and construction machinery at freight terminals, rail yards, and major industries, IPE Locomotori now boasts its own range of locomotives with customized solutions to meet every customer need.
Our Locomotives
IPE Locomotori specializes in building and refurbishing railway locomotives to customer specifications. It also performs repowering or interventions on onboard systems and other equipment.
Our Services
As an RFI-authorized workshop, IPE Locomotori performs locomotive maintenance through the disassembly, repair, and reassembly of all main components, as well as the refitting of vehicles with electrical systems and safety devices. Maintenance is carried out both at our headquarters and at customer sites throughout Italy via mobile workshops. We also provide rental locomotives in various power ratings.

IPE Locomotori 2000 works with Railway Infrastructure Companies for the repair and modernization of the national and international rail network, in addition to supplying and maintaining shunting vehicles for major companies, such as large-scale distribution and steel industries, from their private sidings to national rail stations.
